Resort Shirt™

Designed by a scientist, the original Resort Shirt^TM has a relaxed look and feel compared to the Island shirt. Based on the surfer rash guard shirt design, it has a longer cut (mid-thigh length), looser fit, and a shock cord at the waist that should be tightened via the cord lock for security in the water to prevent riding-up, and can be loosened out of the water for more modesty. The cord can be stored in the front of the shirt in its own 'button hole' opening so that it doesn't dangle and tangle! Side slits provide a more comfortable fit for this tunic-style shirt. Contrast stitching coordinates with the current Splashgear line.

This shirt requires that a one-piece bathing suit or tankini be worn underneath. May also be worn over more tight-fitting clothing such as a wetsuit or lycra skin suit (may need to purchase one size larger). Recommended for use with the Resort or Sport pants.

Splashgear customers have requested a looser fitting, longer length swim shirt and the Resort shirt is a result of that request. Because of the looser nature of this shirt, the lower part of the shirt will float in the water. That is why the waist MUST be tightened before entering the water to prevent the shirt from floating too high and exposing the torso. Please ensure that you are wearing a one-piece bathing suit or tankini underneath the Resort shirt and that the waist is tightened before entering the water.

BEST swim top for protection from the sun!

Hands down, this is the BEST swim top to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays! I am very fair and burn so quickly and easily. I have tried other swim shirts, but the sun still gets through. With this resort top I am totally protected. Very high quality and comfortable fabric. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PROTECTION! I am in the pool everyday for one hour; outdoor pool at least 6 months of the year.

The perfectly modest swim shirt

I ordered this to wear on my recent vacation, and it was perfect. I think they run true to size. I bought a size larger than I normally wear, because I like things to fit a little more loosely, and it fit just as I expected.
It dries so fast. I was using an indoor pool and didn't have the advantage of sun and wind, to help it dry, and it still dried fast. I wore it with capri leggings and felt very modest and comfortable.
I almost ordered a more traditional swim shirt, and was glad I didn't. The length on this one is perfect, and I love that it cinches at the waist so I can have the looser fit without it floating up when I'm in the water.
