For our swim shirts and hair covers, we use Chloroban®, a superior fabric in the performance swimwear fabric industry. Made of 100% knit polyester/PBT, Chloroban® is lightweight, durable, and has excellent stretch and recovery properties. The best part is how soft and comfortable it is to wear. Our swim bottoms are made of 100% “peached” microfiber woven polyester fabric that is DWR-coated to repel water–same fabric used in men’s boardshorts.
Both of our fabrics are quick-drying, chlorine resistant, ideal for the highest levels of competition and training, and protect you from the sun’s harsh UV rays. They have been tested via the well-established and scientifically-accepted AS/NZS 4399:1996 protocol and are rated at up to UPF 50+. Splashgear® is proud to be the only modest/full-coverage swimwear company in the world that has earned the Melanoma International Foundation’s Seal of Approval for its UV-protective garments.
